The Russian armed forces in the Donbass and Zaporozhye region destroyed a significant amount of Ukrainian military equipment in a month, including 920 armored vehicles, 16 Leopard tanks, as well as 15 aircraft and three helicopters. This was stated by the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu at a meeting with the leadership of the Armed Forces.

“Only in the South-Donetsk, Zaporizhia and Donetsk directions, where Ukrainian formations are undertaking unsuccessful attacks, groups of the Russian Armed Forces destroyed 15 aircraft, three helicopters, 920 armored vehicles, including 16 Leopard tanks”- said Shoigu.

The Defense Minister also clarified that the number of destroyed Leopard tanks almost completely corresponds to the number of such tanks that were delivered to Ukraine from Poland and Portugal.

At the same time, it remains unknown whether this number includes damaged tanks, or whether only those combat vehicles are taken into account, the restoration of which is no longer possible, which is very important. Since part of the equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that was hit earlier was evacuated, as evidenced by the corresponding video footage published by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Among other things, Shoigu stressed that these achievements of military operations have deprived the Ukrainian troops of about 2,5 thousand units of various weapons since June 4 this year. This underlines the significant effectiveness of the operations carried out by the Russian Armed Forces in these areas.
